A morning at Provision Coffee
As dawn’s first light nudged the world awake, I found myself at the doorstep of ‘Provision Coffee’, a local haunt known for its brews and ambience. The café greeted me with a welcoming grin, the lush living wall of plants whispering a fresh “Good Morning!” and the natural sunlight bathing the interiors with an Instagram-worthy glow. All in all, it was an aesthetically splendid way to kick off my day.
The staff? A pleasant bunch with smiles brighter than my bleary-eyed, pre-coffee self could manage. And efficiency? Top-notch! Faster than a teenager fleeing from chores, my order was up and ready. What’s not to love, right? Well, let’s tread into cortado territory.
Here’s the thing – a cortado is a delicate dance between the boldness of espresso and the gentleness of milk. It’s like a tango, or perhaps a waltz, or at least a mildly coordinated dad-at-a-wedding sort of dance. Alas, at Provision Coffee, it seemed the cortado had two left feet.
Firstly, the espresso wasn’t just bold; it was downright rebellious. With a sour note that made my face pucker, it seemed the espresso was in a bit of a rush, likely extracted a tad too quickly. And the milk? Oh, the milk. It was frothy, all right – like it was auditioning for a bubble bath commercial. This made the whole blend feel like a bad latte in disguise, which, as a cortado enthusiast, was like expecting a sophisticated dinner date and getting a clumsy, milk-mustached toddler instead.
All said and done, Provision Coffee provided a charming venue and service as warm as the morning sun. But the cortado? Let’s just say it could use a couple of dance lessons. I look forward to giving them another chance to perfect their step and showcase the true, harmonious dance that a cortado should be.
